Mathews families are invited to join staff and volunteers from the Fairfield Foundation on Saturday, March 12, and Friday, March 25, from 2-4 pm at the Mathews County Historical Museum on Main Street to wash artifacts and learn about local archaeology. The artifact wash days are funded by the Mathews Community Foundation to support women and families in activities that encourage cultural vibrancy in the county. Register for hands-on learning with your family by emailing fairfield@fairfieldfoundation.org and indicate which day(s) you would like to attend and how many people will attend and their ages. Space in the Museum’s multipurpose room is limited, so sign up soon!
