Virtual Lab Night: Archaeology Bingo Edition!
Tickets
Apr 24 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Hey all you cool cats and kittens!
We miss seeing the faces of our volunteers at our weekly public lab nights so much that we’re going to make an attempt at a virtual lab night activity! It’s not going to be on Tuesday night and it’s not going to be at the CAPE…. but we’re sticking with that title anyway.

Join us on FACEBOOK LIVE at 4 pm on Friday, April 21. Download or print a Bingo game card below, and have one at the ready on Friday! Play along on Facebook live and mark off your artifact squares as Ashley shares clues and photos! Type “BINGO” when you think you’ve won, and comment with a photo of your winning card. We’ll probably play a few rounds, so there will be a chance for multiple winners.

This is our first attempt at this, but we’d love to engage with you all, so let us know your thoughts about how it goes! Rumor has it there may even be some cool 3D printed swag prizes.

Virtual Lab Night: Archaeology Pictionary!
Tickets
Aug 25 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
We hope you’ll join us for our next edition of Virtual Lab Night – during actual lab night hours!
We’ll be playing archaeology and Fairfield-themed pictionary, virtually of course! The day of the event, we’ll post a link to an online pictionary platform called Skribbl. Join the game and play a few fun rounds of pictionary with us! You can play on your phone, tablet, computer, etc.
We’ll also post a zoom link for those that want to chat, interact, watch others crack up at our lame attempts at drawing, etc.
We hope to see you there!!

Fairfield Virtual History Marathon
Tickets
Oct 1 @ 12:00 am – Oct 31 @ 11:45 pm
The weather is getting cooler, and to celebrate, we have the perfect new outdoor fun-raiser to share with you! Join us for the first Fairfield Virtual History Marathon!
Register for the virtual marathon for just $25 and you’ll be able to “race” throughout Gloucester, visiting 11 different historic sites on your route (including sites in Main Street’s Historic District, as well as Werowocomoco, Rosewell, Fairfield, and more!). Just log your activity (running, hiking, walking, biking, swimming, gardening, you name it) from anywhere you are (using the Racery app for Android or iPhone, or using racery.com), and watch your avatar progress along the virtual route! You have from October 1 through October 31 to run the 26.2 mile route (or run the route multiple times if you’re a super motivated ultra-marathoner)!
Proceeds from the race will contribute to the development of outdoor educational outreach programming at Fairfield Archaeology Park in 2021.
Prizes will be announced throughout the race!

Don’t hesitate to contact anna@fairfieldfoundation.org with questions.
We used Racery to organize our virtual race. They’ve got lots of virtual race options for charities.
