CAPE artifact wash days are returning and open to the public! In an extension of our popular volunteer lab nights, we will now host a variety of artifact wash days at the CAPE. Any volunteers are welcome; you may email fairfield@fairfieldfoundation.org to express interest, but registration is not required. Come visit our lab and try your hand at archaeological lab work, helping process artifacts from a variety of sites across the Middle Peninsula.

This is a rare opportunity to try your hand at both archaeology and masonry preservation. AiP participants, known as jammers, will have a full week of activities, including instruction in excavation techniques, historic bricklaying techniques, and cutting edge 3-D technology. For more information, visit https://adventuresinpreservation.org/fairfield. A fee is required for all workshop participants, but visitors are welcome. Local residents interested in participating for a portion of the week may qualify for a reduced fee.
