SUMMARY:Timberneck Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:It’s back for a 5th year! Join us for the Timberneck Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk Fundraiser\, hosted by the Fairfield Foundation. \n\n\n\nRun or walk this scenic\, flat\, paved 3.1-mile loop course at Machicomoco State Park in Gloucester\, Virginia. Water will be available at the start/finish line\, as well as as the halfway point of the race route. Public restrooms will also be available near the race finish. \n\n\n\nTo register: https://runsignup.com/Race/VA/Hayes/TimberneckTurkeyTrot5kRunWalkFundraiser \n\n\n\nAll race proceeds help fund the restoration of the Timberneck House\, the c.1793 Catlett family home overlooking the York River in Machicomoco State Park. The Timberneck House is undergoing renovation to become a place for learning\, lodging\, and exploring Virginia’s Middle Peninsula. Contribute to the renovation campaign by registering for the Timberneck Turkey Trot! Online registration only\, no race day registration will be available. Registration cost includes the $5 state park entrance fee. All registrants will get a race t-shirt and swag bag. Medals will be awarded after the race for overall top finishers as well as top finishers in specific age categories. Registration fee required for participants 16 and older; children under 16 may race for free but will not get race shirt unless purchased separately (email anna@fairfieldfoundation.org to order). \n\n\n\nCheck-in and shirt pick-up will be from 7:45-8:50 am before the race start.Stick around after the race to watch the medal ceremony\, eat snacks\, and enjoy the beautiful setting of the Timberneck House and Machicomoco State Park!
