Archaeology Summer Camp, 6-8 year old

June 17 @ 9:00 am – June 21 @ 12:00 pm

Campers will get their hands dirty digging with professional archaeologists, finding artifacts, solving mysteries, playing games, and learning about Gloucester’s amazing history! This year the camps for 6-8 year old children will run from 9 AM to 12 PM each day and cost $150/camper.

Center for Archaeology, Preservation and Education (CAPE)

Opening Hours:

Grounds are always open to the public to view the building exterior and signage. The CAPE is open for tours on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at other times by appointment. Lab nights at the CAPE are on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 6-9pm.

The Fairfield Foundation's mission is to promote and involve the public in hands-on archaeology, preservation and education activities within Virginia’s Middle Peninsula and surrounding areas.
