Building the Remembrance Structure at Rosewell

February 3 @ 10:00 am – February 5 @ 4:00 pm

While the Rosewell Ruin still stands, structures the enslaved lived in have been lost. We will construct a remembrance structure to honor the people who built and worked at Rosewell against their will. The contractor, Salvage Wrights LLC, has built similar structures at Menokin, Montpellier, and Ferry Farm. The structure will be partially built at their site, then moved to the Rosewell grounds for completion. Hands on volunteers are welcome! Please email [email protected] for more information.

Center for Archaeology, Preservation and Education (CAPE)

Opening Hours:

Grounds are always open to the public to view the building exterior and signage. The CAPE is open for tours on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at other times by appointment. Lab nights at the CAPE are on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 6-9pm.
