Antioch Homecoming Day 2
June 27 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Join us for the 2026 Antioch Homecoming, a two-day event honoring Gloucester County’s African American heritage on June 26-27
On June 27, we’ll start with a session dedicated to collecting oral histories from 10 AM to 2 PM. To reserve a time, please call Sara Lewis at 757-784-0344.
In the afternoon, Apostle Markita Brooks will lead a welcome and centering session, followed by Drs. Jessica Taylor and Darold Cuba discussing the insights gained from oral histories. The Woodville Rosenwald School Descendants Choir will perform, and Sam Carter-Shamai will present on the Homecoming Exchange and Regenerative Encounters Project.
The event will conclude with a blessing of the Ancestors Trail by Apostle Brooks and Nathaniel Glasgow, followed by fellowship and refreshments.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect and celebrate our shared history!
