  • VA250 Event:  Evening Dig & Stargazing: Space and Archaeology

    Rosewell 5113 Old Rosewell Lane, Gloucester, Virginia, United States

    This special evening program connects archaeology with astronomy during the Perseid meteor shower. After digging at the Rosewell Ruins, stay for stargazing after dark. The event also highlights John Page’s interest in astronomy—papers he shared with Thomas Jefferson—and explores how modern archaeology uses drones, satellites, and remote sensing to study historic sites.
